A touch versus an ending price

Consider two hypothetical questions: will BTC touch X during a month, and will it be above X on the final day? A brief touch might satisfy the first without satisfying the second. Match words such as reach, above and on a date to the original rules. Check whether equality at the threshold is sufficient.

Which price counts for resolution

There is no single obvious price for every contract. Identify the specified source, instrument, currency, observation interval and time zone. A quote screenshot from a familiar app may not match the contract’s rule. For short Up/Down questions, examine the method of comparing start and end values instead of treating it as a monthly threshold question.

Why thresholds overlap

In a hypothetical set asking whether a price touches 90, 100 or 110, meeting the higher threshold can also meet lower ones. These are not three mutually exclusive answers. Do not add the cards to make 100% or describe a difference as a guaranteed opportunity. Different sources, intervals or rules can even disrupt apparent ordering.

How to choose the relevant BTC question

For a question asking whether BTC reaches a level, identify the threshold, full observation period and designated source field. For BTC above a level on a date, identify the final measurement and exact time. Up/Down needs its own start, duration and Price to Beat; the Chainlink TWAP markets described in the documentation compare that stream's starting and ending values. These are three different conditions even though the asset is the same.

Record the pair, threshold or starting value, comparison sign, window boundaries, time zone and source before comparing. Then check the translation and resolution status. The BTC-threshold, Up/Down, crypto-price-source and crypto-deadline guides cover the details. A broad Polymarket BTC query supplies neither a universal Bitcoin probability nor a promised spot-price direction.

How to read BTC history

A contract chart tracks changes in an outcome estimate, not Bitcoin’s spot price. Compare one series using one price basis and check its timestamps. Without history, the trend remains unknown. This guide supplies no current BTC quote or price target. Real values belong only to labeled snapshots of particular events.

FAQ /

Common questions

Is a BTC percentage a dollar price forecast?

No. It estimates whether a particular condition will be met. Interpretation requires a threshold, deadline and resolution source, not just the asset name.

Is a past-dated market already resolved?

Not necessarily. Look for an explicitly confirmed outcome. The end of the observation period and completion of resolution can differ.
